Independents Announced – Mark Enser
7th June 2015 By Mark Enser
Independents for Seaford (ifS) are pleased to announce that they will be supporting four candidates for the East Ward by-election in Seaford. ifS was set up as a group to support strong independent candidates for the Town Council and to work with the community to build a better Seaford.
The candidates standing include Sylvia Dunn and Sarah McStravick who previously served as councillors and who worked over the last few years as independents to break away from the old style of party politics and to create more transparency and engagement in the council.
Joining them will be community organisers Debbie Ward and Fiona House. They have been involved in local groups across Seaford including Seaford Residents Voice, Seaford Bonfire Society and Waifs and Strays dog rescue.
Chairman Mark Enser said, "We are really proud to be supporting four such strong candidates for Seaford East. These are people with a real and proven track record in working for our town and who have made a difference to the community. I am sure that they will provide a strong local voice in Seaford Town Council."
Independents for Seaford had several launch events over the last week and have seen a surge in interest since they started campaigning. More information can be found at www.ifseaford.org.uk.
